    “accidentally scared a 17yo out of an eating disorder” though, you can’t make that shit up.

    well actually, that’s what they tried to do back when my parents were in school. they would force-feed them if they didn’t eat up. it was disgusting.

      I don’t know the details, so I could be out of line, but you sometimes do have to force severe anorexia patients to eat. you can straight up die from it. and once you’re anorexic for long enough, your body stops feeling hungry at appropriate times, so you have to make yourself eat X number of calories on a schedule for a few months during refeeding.

        Recovered anorexic who did inpatient: 100% + your body will straight up reject food at a certain point. The only way to recover is literally to force feed yourself even if you throw it up, you basically reteach your body how much it needs to consume

          i was also told that milk consumption helps tremendously because it goes down easily, less chance of throwing it up, is digested rather well, and has a lot of calories.

          is that correct?
