There is a great concept in the Bullet Journal Method (the actual method, not the Instagram arts and crafts stuff) that emphasises using the journals as a way of identifying and eliminating goals and tasks that aren’t that important to you and just add stress and noise to your life.

I always use yyyy.mm.dd as my date format whenever I sign and date documents. I also use a pictograph instead of initials. Someone tried to forge a contract edit to try and get out of paying but used the mm/dd/yy format. The moment my lawyer showed this to their lawyer, they settled immediately for the original amount, legal fees, and late payment penalties. Dumbasses.

Expat normally means someone living abroad but maintaining their citizenship and expecting to return to their home country eventually. This is often the case with situations like people deployed for a few years on a long term project. An immigrant is someone who has left their home country and resettled elsewhere with no plans of returning.

Given those definitions, “migrant workers” should really be called expats but, you know, racism and xenophobia are a thing.
