Huh, good to know. I know of a company that makes tuck kits and tape that uses it in their logo. I feel like I remember reading a post on their blog about the history of the symbol that included trans and gnc folk. I’ll see if I can track it down, but I had also thought it was just used for gay men in Nazi Germany when I first learned about that period in school.
Deal.
Yeah, Tailscale!! It’s a very nicely packaged front end for Wireguard, which is a “mesh vpn” if I’m remembering my terms properly. Basically makes all my devices think they are on the same network at all times, and provides convenient names to use to connect to them.
I self host sunshine and use the moonlight client on iOS for my remote desktop. It’s meant for in home game streaming, but using Tailscale I can connect from anywhere.
I wonder is something like “a mason jar full to the brim with wine” would do anything interesting. As someone else pointed out the training data for containers of wine is probably disproportionately biased toward stemmed wine glasses that are filled to about the standard restaurant pour.
I currently have Arch on my main rig because I like tinkering. NixOS on an old thinkpad for a super stable (in theory) portable experience, AlmaLinux on a single board computer for a basic home server, and Bazzite (in the near future) on an old gaming laptop as my TV computer. I’m also not a femboy so I suppose what you said doesn’t reeeaaaallly apply, but you definitely don’t need to be changing distros for anyone!!
See, as a trans rock climber I get to double dip ;)
I beat this game before I knew anything about anything, but I think I subconsciously knew the message, and overcoming all the challenges really sent me down the path I’m on now. I’ve been meaning to revisit it, but apparently I’m a mere fraction of the “gamer” I was then. It’s a tough game!
I AGREE!!! There wasn’t a nice way to fit it 😭
Yeeaaahhh, my Asimov collection is a bit spotty because I was a big audio book listener when I was first getting into his work. Some I never actually ended up with physical copies of.
I haven’t read the sequel yet! It’s on my list tho. I loved Priory so much!
I recently watched a video essay about Jeff Smith and Bone!! Made me go digging for my copies for a reread!
I realize this particular portion of my overall collection really clocks my special interests 😅
Just felt the need to say our music libraries look very similar. You have great taste.
This is sooo cool! I came into possession of a large format epson and have been meaning to just start tossing random ink into its cartridges.
I’ve had good luck with logitech mice. Have an MX Master, g502 “Lightspeed” (or whatever nonsense), and a wired MMO one with 12 thumb buttons. I really only use the g502, but I keep the others around and they are all very compatible and usable. I currently use solaar as my software, but I’m finding remapping to be a bit more fiddly than I’d like. I liked Piper but it wasn’t working with the wireless g502 after I spilled water on my previous wired one. Maybe it’s been updated and works again. Going to check out input-remapper that another user mentioned.
Band teacher for me, and I didn’t know it yet, but yeah, I’m in this photo lol. Actually I’d say I’m in it twice, because now I foster a space for queer youth to feel welcome and comfortable.
Considering sex a binary is in fact a social construct. Intersex people exist, “male” seahorses get pregnant. Some frog species can changes sexes to help balance population. A universal biological sex binary is not what nature shows. Claiming such a binary exists is necessarily a social construct, or at least social simplification of reality. Much in the way saying one magnetic pole is positive and the other negative, or “spin” on electrons. They are all social constructs.
The queerness of nature does not care about the mental gymnastics we humans have to jump through to try and make sense of things.
Welcome!! Glad you found us!
The token cis gay guy in my AFK friend group 😆
