minus-squareTheMinions@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up22·1 day agoIt could be a whole host of reasons to be fair. I’m pretty bad about letting my grass get long, but the only reason I would ever mow before 10 am is because I don’t want to get too hot.
minus-squarederanger@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up21arrow-down1·1 day agoI use an electric mower and do it early as fuck sometimes, like as soon as the sun comes up. Super quiet.
minus-squareTheMinions@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·1 day agoI had an electric mower, I always hated the cord and it was a real cheap thing with a very small footprint. It got the job done, but instead of taking 15 minutes it took me 30. I’ll invest in a nicer electric one once my current gas powered one dies for sure.
minus-squareTheRealKuni@piefed.sociallinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up14·1 day agoModern electric mowers use batteries, and they’re awesome.
minus-squareseralth@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up8arrow-down1·1 day agoJust return to scythe. It’s faster then you would think. And sharping the blade is manly as fuck and fun!

minus-squareTheMinions@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 day agoThis seems like the best option. I didn’t realize how expensive electric lawn mowers were these days!
minus-squareDiplomjodler@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·23 hours agoI bought one for under €100 including the battery. That’s pretty low power and would not be much fun for anything over 100m2. But you also have to consider maintenance and fuel efficiency which usually makes TCO less for electric devices.
minus-squareBlackVenom@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·1 day agoAnecdotal, but the only lawn mower I can hear of my 3 neighbors is the electric one. The noise it makes is the worst drone and it pierces.
