I’m a little bit older than this, but with the invention of the Internet I always notice the same conversations about the same stuff always pops up every time something happens again or repeats.

And not just party politics, even global or regional events. Young people act like Israel vs Palestine is new. That’s been going back and forth for a few centuries. Even when the countries were called something else.

Israel vs Palestine isn’t really a few centuries old, more like just one. That situation was almost completely created by the British in the 20th century, during and after WWI. They had the Palestinians help to overthrow the Ottoman rulers of the area in exchange for a promise of statehood.

That’s why I preference before the countries are what they are today. Israel was only even created in 1948, but the region has had countless wars between Jewish and Muslim city-states. Most often fought with swords.

I don’t think the internet has anything to do with it. From what I have been told and seen myself teenagers always act like they are the first to do or notice things no matter what generation it is.

That’s a valid point. The internet just allows me to observe it easier across different generations and age groups within each generation.

If you mean in the sense of invading foreign powers, sure.
