Wait is FNV part of trans community canon? Or transfemme like Celeste?

One of the best games ever either way but that’s awesome if so.

Yes. Don’t ask me why, I don’t have a fucking clue, but it is. If I had to guess, it’s because it’s a (quite good) game about rebuilding yourself from nothing. You start the game as an empty shell of a character who was just shot dead and lost all their memories, and the entire rest of the game is about creating yourself to be who you want to be, and about making change in the Wasteland and deciding on a new future of things to come. I can sort of understand why that might resonate for trans folks. I have no idea if this is an accurate assessment or not.

But it’s a game that I love with an ongoing unholy fervor so I say, the more the merrier.

It’s also because both your gender and sexuality actually matter. It’s very gay friendly, has perks that provide bonuses based on your sexuality, and actually has different opportunities depending on which gender you pick. Rather than your gender and sexual preferences just being cosmetic, they actually impact gameplay in a way that other games shy away from.

You can play as a canonically bisexual character, which means you deal 10% more damage to everyone just like real life.

Yes, but it does come at the cost of two perk points. This puts you at a slight disadvantage in comparison to monosexual characters, and a large disadvantage in comparison to asexuals, the most powerful overall sexuality due to their two extra perk points.

              Again just like real life.

Nah, it’s not really a disadvantage. If there were two perks that gave flat 5% buffs each people would still take both.

Also the game’s just imbalanced in general so it barely matters. Shotguns suck at high levels and that’s simply unacceptable.

Somehow, yes. The game is not really trans-coded, like Celeste, but there’s just a lot of trans people that love it.

I think it’s because the game involves questioning the ideas and groups you support, so that you can choose wisely, which attracts people who think about that kind of thing.
