If this community is just going to be about blatantly political posts from now on rather than shitposts, then I don’t really have a need to be subscribed to it since I can already get that from the politics communities that already exist, on top of reading newspapers.
Some of you guys seem more interested in communities following every single rule rather than have people actually post content.
This is Lemmy, not reddit, so perhaps we can just be happy that users are active? A few political posts when a new war was just launched may not be too much to deal with, or?
I thought this was satire by how it presented until I realized where I was. The posts haven’t started today I get a full political intake elsewhere and the community trying to jam additional toxins into my feed is not healthy for me and I’m sure a lot of other users. I’m probably gonna wind up unfollowing this community due to them, blocking users and keywords just can’t keep up.
Lemmings will talk about wooing increased involvement and then drive it away or replace it via politics, even when there’s already clear communities for that kind of stuff.
I guess I understand. Maybe your life is full of politics you cant get away from and Lemmy is like a break from all that. And then it becomes super important to not see it here.
I dont watch any politics in real life and thats really helped me feel grounded and positive. I understand the view that its poison because it kind of is, mental poison.
If only there were a community dedicated to political memes where people could post this kind of thing… maybe a community named something like !politicalmemes@lemmy.world ?

That’s not true at all. The mods did nothing, as usual. It was people who post here that were posting the corn because they’re sick of the politics.
