And pea soup and houbovec; combined with South German potato salad and maybe one more dish I don’t remember now. They were trying hard to combine traditions. It all used to be extremely exhausting.
Back in the 80s our Xmas carp used to swim in the bathtub for a day or two; until my father went to work on it.

Have you seen Cozy Dens (Pelíšky)? As far as our Christmas classics go, it’s second only to Three Wishes for Cinderella (Tři oříšky pro Popelku).
