It’s not a win, it’s a way to talk about trans women by othering them and calling them something besides women

I hear you, and I’m not saying that’s not valid. But clearly this was not the case. And a lot of people write in whatever way that sounds like when they speak, without this fine attention to grammar - so this is bound to happen often by people that have zero intention of othering anyone.

I think there are more important fights to pick when it comes to trans inclusivity. This could sit in the back burner a little longer, for when trans people at large are no longer in fear for their lives for existing.

But that’s just my opinion. Live your truth.

I wasn’t picking a fight though? I’m pointing out that someone used the wrong term for us, and explaining why that term is hurtful, with the context that there are people who use it that way on purpose to be hurtful.

I am not accusing the OP of saying it hurtfully on purpose and I don’t comprehend why you’re so offended about it. Of course there are bigger discussions to be had, but this isn’t the place for that and I was not trying to start some big discussion or fight. I was informing someone of a way they can be kinder to people and avoid looking like they belong to those same hate groups that want us dead.

Not sure which part got you riled up but it sounds like we’re on the same team here.
