I’m pretty sure the actual origin of the image in the meme is an old sitcom called Get a Life. I can’t remember what episode it was in… I briefly looked online to try to prove it and get a link to the exact clip, but I couldn’t find it.
The game Team Fortress 2 has a competitive scene largely run by grassroots organizations such as RGL, ETF2L, and OzFortress.
In two separate seasons, the player fexgem and his team have managed to be the spark for RGL to update their website because they kept losing every match… including matches against dead teams and Bye Weeks.
