    I’d like to see a law in place that says if a congressman votes against aid for another state during a disaster, then they must resign immediately after requesting aid for their own state during a disaster.

    Put your money where you mouth is.

      As long as it’s applied equally I could support this.

      No Republicans roadblocking aid for blue states while promoting it for red, but also no blue states roadblocking aid to red states because “take more than they give”. Those behaviors only serve to hurt the people, regardless of their politics.

        Yeah. It would be applied equally. Being an asshole “I got mine fuck you” politician shouldn’t be something we tolerate, regardless of party affiliation.
