I assume this term is more popular in regions that do not experience snow so their material is muddy fields and the chunks that are kicked up are turd shaped. I expected it to be a higher percentage.

Looks like mostly the greater Minnesota area, with blips in St. Louis, Worcester, Wyoming and Phoenix, so not really snowless and wet normally. Though they might all (except for Phoenix- maybe those are snowbirds?) have a lot of snowmelt in the spring that makes kicking up chunks more likely.

Being from one of the green areas, I’ve definitely heard it before, but rarely as the primary way of saying it. When I hear it, it’s usually added for comedic effect along the lines of “I was doing donuts yesterday. Ya know, just whipping shitties.”

Now you might only be able to get a couple rotations until the ice has had at least one night at twenty below. That’ll set it up real nice. After that you should be able to properly whip a shitty worth telling your kids about some day.

Is it even worth trying before that point in the season? You betcha!
