it helped me understand this better once I knew a dakimakura is one of those Japanese body pillows
They are actually pretty comfy. Like, you can also buy one with a blank pillowcase if you’re not into the… stuff… and they help when you’re sleeping on one side.
yes, very pro body pillows, though as you’re saying, they don’t have to be Japanese comfort pillows to be a body pillow 😆
… but they should be, right?
I’ve heard them being good for pregnant women.
