      That’s almost certainly some Roman pagan/polytheist addition, NGL. In those few verses you also get Jesus and the disciples singing hymns and Jesus talking about his resurrection… :/

        Idk about that, the Roman establishment thought the cannibal angle was kind of fucked up and specifically called it out. Don’t forget that Judaism itself has relatively recently split from the Canaanite/Phoenician/Baalism rituals.
