One of the videos they showed during my arc flash training was a documentary of a guy who accidentally used a voltmeter on a live 2300V cabinet. The arc flash blew his clothes off and set him on fire. He stumbled blindly through the factory before finally collapsing.

I like how they maintained realism by not having the mask explode off of whomever this guy is.

Its both taking a piss and a nod to the comics, where the character would often fight shirtless but with the mask on in that era of the comic.

Ok. Next time you meet a genie wish for “immunity to all electric shocks.”

Defibrillators probably wouldn’t work on you. But in turn you can pull off an instant nudity button!

You can do that, won’t even hurt. A car battery is capable of providing a lot of amps, but you can’t push current, you can only pull it, and a car battery is only around 14 volts.

I wouldn’t do it across your chest though, unless you’re sure your heart is healthy, and maybe not even then. Even low current can fuck with your heart.

Except in this case it’s not the electric shock that kills you. An arc flash is literally an explosion, creating a blast wave of molten copper and temperatures comparable to the surface of the sun.
