If its deliberately provocative and offensive then its ragebait.

Ragebait is a type of trolling, shitposting is more in the realm of stupid/silly humor
I think of them as different.
Shitpost are for laughs. Ragebait is mean spirited.
Interesting distinction
There can definitely be overlap between the two, though.
