Not LSD but another psychedelic gave me:

    • The most intense scary experience of my life and the believe i was in a state of shock and dying.

    • The most intense beautiful experience of my life and the believe i was part of the never-dying fabric of space time.

    • Made me forget who i was, to help me understand who i am.

All of this in like a single 20 minutes of time after which everything was (sort of) normal again.

I can only recommend if you fully consent and do not fear the unknown.

  • For new users the main question is not what operating system but what window manager as that is what shapes day to day user interaction. KDE plasma is a solid choice.

Installing it on a separate drive should be no problem. Just select the correct drive during install.

I use F10 to get to the boot menu on drive and select the drive it needs to boot from there. I have used it once in the last year and although it required many updates its still working.

There is nothing wrong with people looking for an income to support what they do. But if you compare it.

Every single lemmy instance is a server someone is running and maintaining. I have yet to see a single one that integrates ads.

The developers that develop the lemmy code themselves aren’t asking us for money either.

As for apps why would you not use one with the same spirit as the above? Voyager is both on playstore, ios store. And available as a hyper performant web app. Works on any device basically.

The code for voyager is again fully open source, you yourself could self host an instance of the webapp, no ads, no one serving you. Just some software that you control doing what you need it to do.

Its not the only one of its kind but its the one i can personally vouch for is great.

When you want to support developers there is usually ways to donate directly.

    Something i recently learned:

Your live usb does not need to be the same distro as your main. (And in retrospect that makes total sense but i never realized)

My arch install broke and could not get timeshift to roll back using the arch live usb. But a ubuntu-desktop live usb worked flawlessly.
