That’s not what saying something like that would mean but I’m not going to laugh at someone who isn’t a native speaker for that. It’s a weird reply though.

I know what you meant. I know you meant figuratively. I speak and write at a native level. My reply was meant to be facetious. I’m not going to laugh at someone who can’t detect sarcasm though. 👍👍

My point is that you don’t have to use olive oil.

I told you, I want to. I know I don’t have to. I am the one reaching for my own ingredients when I cook. Nobody is forcing me.

I don’t use it for everything. Not sausages, not burgers, etc. But when I fry vegetables and onions and roots, usually, yes.

Good luck with the olive oil fried rice though!

Weird wish. I never make fried rice, but thanks I guess. 🤨😐

    Peace! ✌️

    painfully ironic

    Oh nooo, the paAaAaiN.

    🫩

im using my freedom not to make my food taste weird

News flash buddy, taste is subjective.

Use olive oil for whatever you like. Don’t use it for whatever you like.

I’ll use it for what I like. I like to fry my onions and garlic with olive oil. 👌💪

    Peace! ✌️

This is such an American take. I use olive oil to fry onions regardless of what nationality the food is lol. It’s just onions. I can grow this up north in Scandinavia. Even indoors.

I’m just making “food”. Our influences are so close to us we don’t really put a “country” on our food. We mix and match and experiment with different food cultures, np. Don’t need to stick to “Italian” for one dish. You can use influences from wherever.

We don’t really say “let’s make a Japanese wok.” It’s just a wok. And it can have any ingredients you like. Chicken, salmon, beef, roots, greens, whatever.

Be free with your cooking for the love of food. ❤️👨‍🍳

For someone who knew a lot of statistics and obviously knew how to read and look things up, you’d think it would be easy to just look up what “cis” actually means before making a public post humiliating themselves.

Unless they wanted to… appeal to an audience who also doesn’t know, and doesn’t realize they can just… look it up? Is that the play?

  • I moved from Ubuntu for the same reasons I moved from Windows, to be honest. I felt like I was losing control of what my system was doing. All this bullshit being forced on me that I didn’t like. I wanted to be able to pick my own DE without uninstalling something else first. Major upgrades would fail sometimes, etc.

Installing Arch was a challenge I was willing to take on. Learned a lot.

I don’t share the trope about Arch Linux users being annoying per se, but the joke about “Arch btw” is just fun to participate in lol. But I don’t think Arch users preach that much. I see way more preaching about Fedora and NixOS, e.g. And like, Mint. 😆 Meanwhile Arch users are just silently enjoying themselves. 🤷‍♂️
