For those who want to know which story, the short version is family house in a flood, family make it to the roof. Boat comes, another, another they send them away “God will save me” a helicopter comes, is told to go. The family die. God tells them they fucked up 'cause He sent three boats and a helicopter which they refused

I hate antivaxxers. As a kid I couldn’t get my first dose of measles vaccine because I was sick, and wasn’t vaccinated until my 5 year old vaccinations. I was sick with measles, but was okay.

I got measles because vaccination wasn’t widespread then and there. The same happened to other kids and they weren’t as lucky.

This kid was betrayed by their community, denied vaccines that would have kept them alive because people lied to them

BG3 seems to be pretty good at letting you have whatever genitals and body shape you want, but doesn’t let you have an outfit that renders as a dress or skirt until act 3 of 3*

So you’re forced to wear trousers for almost the whole game

*Unless you steal a wizard’s robe

I’m imagining the terrible they’ll have keeping the factory absolutely sterile, since it won’t have an immune system

On the other hand they’ll have to make some pretty good medical advances, for example synthetic blood, unless they can also grow bones and marrow

The tricky part of lab grown meat is you need to keep it from being infected.

    Keep the factory perfectly sterile.

Any time a vat is colonised by fungi or bacteria or a virus its contents would have to be dumped and the equipment sterilised

    That’s going to be expensive.

It will need feedstock. It will produce waste CO2

Meanwhile a cow has an immune system and eats low quality grass.

Lab meat will not be able to compete with field grown meat
