For niche topics yes, Reddit is 1000x the size of the fediverse. In terms of smart commenters and debates, not so much.

Really? I’ve seen Lemmings are much more competent, way higher debate ability, far less disinformation. Also I’ve seen this 10x so far in a month: “sorry, you’re right”. Almost never saw that on Reddit. And I’ve had to say it many times too.
Aged like wine, more relevant and funnier now than 17 years ago
