  • Weird that you think that a bunch of 13 year olds being ok with something means OP is lying about not being ok with it…

weird that you’re focusing on minors when i mentioned two generations

if you make it impossible for me to look past it, we’re probably not gonna get along

most furries are normal about their hobby is the overall point here, and one that i have seen spread like wildfire online the last 5 or so years. i have seen furry posts on TikTok receive a ton of attention and all the comments are some variation of “why did people hate furries?” or “furries seem cool.” it might be cringey but being cringe is not embarrassing anymore. catch up. it’s freeing.

  • furry hate in 2005 was 100% homophobia lol it’s never really gone away either. it’s largely that nowadays too. it’s a way to hate queer people without outwardly hating queer people. they think we don’t see it. it’s also just dumb as hell and a waste of your one life to spend any amount of time literally hating people for a hobby that involves playing pretend and using their imagination. oh no, the horror, they can access something you can’t anymore.

they will never see it this way because they struggle to make connections of what’s happening now to what will be happening in the future. right now they are suffering financially and making poverty wages for their labor. it’s a dog eat dog world out there and these people become vicious and learn to play the game of capitalism, and whatever the repercussions are down the line, well, that’s a problem for the future, they gotta focus on the now. so even if they are an inevitable target of the system, they aren’t right now, so… who cares?
