~/workfor things I don’t want to do, like taxes
Which desktop are you using? The high dpi experience is desktop dependent until every one supports fractional scaling

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Please tell me this is shopped. This fucker is my age and I'm embarrassed that any of us turned out this pathetic. English
14·27 days agoI was always taught that one should not pose for a photo with alcohol in hand so as not to look tacky.
Glad to see our highest class of elites follow similar etiquette.
This was a movie? Oh man this whole time I thought it was Fortnite or something.

21·1 month agoOhh you eat it like a sub? 😅
I only do that if I’m lazy and use sandwich bread for a roll.

5·1 month agoI’m confused. If I put mustard on a hotdog it looks exactly like that.
(Aside from that bland yellow, I use real mustard)
Orgasm is 80%, what’s 100%?
They were hosted on AWS! 😅 I thought the expensive ones at least had to be good enough to have the assets on IPFS.
Halo being woke because the body type for male and female are the same?
They both look different though. Is this accurate?
Yeah but it could be an open standard, for Linux, could it not?
I don’t really understand your first point though. That would be no problem if you organized the packages and declared conflicts for systemd against the other init systems.
Isn’t systemd that open standard though?
Same with Wayland?
100%. I’ll never ever step foot in that hospital again.
They denied me phone calls to my family for over 24hrs so they were worried and looking for me.
I’ll never forget the slap in the face when I got out and they billed me 50$ for a grilled cheese sandwich and saltines.
I went to the hospital for a cough (it was ultimately pneumonia). It was a holiday so Drs weren’t open.
During intake they determined I was a “threat to myself and others”, detained me, and drugged me.
They tried to make me foot the bill and sent me to collections without any prior notice months later.
I disputed it with credit. And explained the situation, how I was held against my will and how they exceeded the scope of care.
The credit bureau surprisingly sided with me and cleared my credit of any wrong doing.
I later found out that several American hospitals were needlessly drugging adolescents and it was a huge problem.

0·4 months agoI was speaking to the fact that I cannot replace the battery after one year.
It’s a Lithium Ion problem. There are a limited number of recharge cycles.
On average, after one year of charging every day, your smartphone battery will be at 80% its original capacity.

0·4 months agoI don’t care about fast charge times. I do care about my battery life significantly shortening after one year.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Can someone get through college on GNU Linux?English
4·7 months agoIt sucks that education institutions care so little for people not using giant corpo microshit though.
Its so bad too.
Our school used ciscovpn for access to the university cluster and web services.
I figured out how to configure openconnect to work properly. And even wrote and hosted documentation for other Linux users to do the same.
However the school had no interest in incorporating my documentation into their VPN help site.
I read this now, as I just finished setting up kanidm and LDAP integration for my NAS and OIDC for my container services.
Looking into RADIUS next.
I can’t be alone on this 😅
