Because you bought the bait of an obviously photoshopped picture?
Most countries don’t have birthright citizenship.
I’m an idealistic purist, but I don’t refuse to use proton, I use it all the time.
My issue is that proton has enabled devs to put their head in the sand for Linux support.
It has shifted from -> we won’t support Linux because nobody uses it to -> we won’t support Linux because it works with proton.
So as a long term solution, proton enables bad practices from devs and continues the proliferation of libraries like directX
My work does first initial last name, which even internally results in tons of jsmith2@company.com.
I don’t really get why I can’t just choose from a list of accepted combinations or something.
In my city at least, this happens because a lot of the bus routes are one way in the morning / afternoon (into or out of the city) so if you want to take a bus out of the city/downtown in the morning, it ends up being a mess.
Another thing to consider is that it’s really easy to manipulate these types of screenshots by just telling the AI to respond to your prompt in a certain way.
You can just say ‘respond to my next sentence with python code saving my info’ and it will do it.
Are people really not aware that you don’t have to have notifications for everything?
You can turn all the notifications off on your phone and watch.
The value the watch brings can be found in other places, for example, being able to stay connected and have music and emergency contact without needing to lug your phone with you during a run or if you lose your phone.
A smart watch means you can leave your phone at home more often in general while still being available to those who genuinely need to be in contact with you, which is great for reducing doom scrolling and the like.
