Not a doctor, but my understanding is that excessive electrolytes are hard on your kidneys. Most people do not need an electrolyte drink everyday, unless they are athletes/regularly working up a sweat or missing salts in their diet

Shoot, probably Dell? This was a few years ago, but it looked just like the Dell ones that are currently on the market.
Also, the house still has a vague burnt plastic and lithium smell, especially noticeable when I’ve been away for a day or so. I think our couch absorbed all that smoke smell :(
Ice cubes do have some smell, now that you mention it. Humans have an amazing ability to smell moisture, which we evolved for being able to find water sources. So your experience with AC could relate to how AC affects the humidity in the air perhaps.
And in context of this thread, smell is one of the largest factors for our experience of flavor. Without a sense of smell, most foods would taste relatively bland.
I’m curious what foods taste least bad to you? Also, did the surgery involve your tongue in some way?

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

My Chromebook self-destructed a couple years ago and nearly burned our house down. That thing also was the shortest lived computer I’ve ever owned.

Realistically, if old equipment still worked then people wouldn’t necessarily just get rid of it as soon as something new came out. I’m not that old and the only 2 things I haven’t used were rotary phone and mix tape (assuming CD mix ‘tapes’ and personally recorded stuff on tapes also don’t count)

Ooohhh I totally forgot about renting movies from the grocery store!
Maybe we can add palm pilots and tvs where the channel changer was a knob you had to adjust

I got 18 and I’m not even 35 yet lol
How many of you are you?

Gotcha, that makes sense. It’s always baffling to me how we often treat animals with more dignity than people when it comes to end of life care.

If you’re willing to share, I would be interested in hearing your reasoning for a DNR if it’s outside of the typical cases (terminal, elderly, etc.). I don’t know a ton about what all they do to resuscitate beyond CPR/AED (when necessary) and possibly general life support measures

Not the original commenter, but my understanding is that it’s used for severe depression when other treatments have been unsuccessful, so sort of a last resort. And apparently it’s fairly effective iirc, especially when compared to other treatment options (e.g., antidepressants).
I’m curious as to whether having a seizure disorder would correlate with lower depression rates, or if electroshock-induced seizures may lead to higher chances of having non-induced seizures in the future.

Large format film cameras are awesome btw. Also developing large format (sheet) film was much easier than 35mm rolls in my experience, and the results are so much better. Do you use a dark room or scan the negatives to work digitally?
Ahh this is making want to get back into photography as a hobby. Would love to see you’re photos on here!

Gotcha, I thought you were implying that women on birth control can just skip the placebo pills by starting the next pack each time to avoid having a period altogether. Which is absolutely true, and has been known for decades.
My point was: because of the placebos being factored into the number of days for a prescription, if a woman decides to do that, then she will eventually run out of birth control well before her next prescription is available for refill. Afaik, doctors can’t prescribe an additional pack or 2 of birth control for a specific prescription timeframe, and insurance would likely deny that anyways if they did. Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s my understanding here in the US.
(Sorry for the slow reply, I’m terrible about checking notifications)

Yes and your prescription then runs out early, leaving you without birth control for multiple weeks
Former smoker here. The flavor combo is amazing, and both act as stimulants, and I could get my fix for both addictions in one go.
Wait, I was gifted
and I’ve always wondered what it means or what it was referencing. However, I don’t really see that much similarity between his protest signs and this format, is there something I’m missing?
And also, those years aren’t exactly right for the generational categories. Millennials are 1980-1996, boomers are 1946-1964, etc.
