He can, with good reason. People filming them with their phones and taunting them with shrill voices are not threatening his safety. Only a couple people out of over 300 million have truly threatened their safety, and they were completely impotent and were immediately killed for doing so.

Still very very rare compared to the 8,000,000,000 people on the planet, or whatever the number is at now.
