However, what’s gonna happen should the attempts to age-gate the XDG portal screw over alt-init distros like Artix too? My guess is maybe they start blocking regions which force age gating like Arch Linux 32 is doing.
Yep, I am suggesting to not try at all until they make it clear how am I going to comply? which will lead to “I am not gonna put any resources into this feel free to fork it and do that”. We agree it’s stupid-ass but we need to help them understand that.
Like prepare a reply why I didn’t put age verification into my custom Arch .iso from now rather than find solutions for them. They also have to block my website and torrents somehow, not me having to geo block other struggling souls like myself sitting somewhere else (I don’t even put captcha in my websites, just a rate limiting value that a normal person would never be able to reach).
